Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Camvi ("Camvi", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Camvi mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using Camvi, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

Camvi is an event photo-sharing application that lets event hosts create private photo events and invite guests to capture and share photos together. The album is revealed to participants after the event, creating a shared collection of moments.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address when you sign up using email; your name and email (or a private relay email) if you sign in with Apple; and your name, email, and basic profile information if you sign in with Google.

Content You Create. We collect photos you and your guests capture or upload within an event, event details such as name, dates, and settings, and any text, stickers, or edits you apply to photos.

Automatically Collected Information. We collect basic device information (device type, operating system version, app version) and limited usage data necessary for the Service's core functionality.

Payment Information. When you purchase a paid event tier or add-on, the payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by Camvi. We do not collect or store your card or banking details; we only receive confirmation of a completed purchase.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and operate the Service (create events, capture and share photos, reveal albums), to authenticate you and manage your account, to process and confirm purchases, to maintain the security and integrity of the Service, to respond to your requests and provide support, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. How Photos Are Shared

Camvi events are private. Photos within an event are visible to the event host who created it and to guests who have joined using its join code or QR code.

Photos are not publicly searchable or shared outside the event. Within an event, photos become visible to all participants after the reveal time set by the host. Please note that any guest in an event can view photos shared in that event once revealed.

5. Data Retention

Photos are retained for 60 days after the event ends, after which they are deleted. There is currently no option to extend this period.

Account information is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can request deletion of your photos or your account at any time (see Section 7).

6. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party providers to operate the Service, each processing data according to its own privacy policy: Supabase (hosting, database, and storage of event data and photos), Apple (Sign in with Apple and App Store payments), Google (Sign in with Google and Google Play payments), and RevenueCat (management and verification of in-app purchases).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your data (including your photos and account), and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@camvi.app. You can also delete your account directly within the app, which removes your account information and associated content.

8. Children's Privacy

Camvi is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@camvi.app and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Users

Camvi may be accessed from around the world. Your information may be processed and stored on servers located in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to such processing.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
