Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Camvi mobile application and related services (the "Service"), provided by Camvi ("Camvi", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Camvi is an event photo-sharing application. Event hosts can create private photo events, set a reveal time, and invite guests to capture and share photos. After the reveal time, the shared album becomes visible to participants of that event.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Camvi. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account. You may sign in using email, Apple, or Google; authentication through Apple or Google is also subject to their respective terms.

4. Payments

One-Time, Per-Event Pricing. Camvi offers free and paid event tiers. Paid features are purchased per event as one-time, consumable in-app purchases processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

No Refunds. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or by the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play. For example, if you reduce a photo allowance after purchasing an add-on, the amount paid is not refunded. Refund requests that fall under store policies must be made through Apple or Google directly.

Pricing Changes. We may change our pricing at any time. Changes do not affect purchases already completed.

5. User Content

Your Content. "User Content" means photos, text, stickers, event details, and any other content you create or upload through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.

License to Camvi. By submitting User Content, you grant Camvi a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you and the participants of your events.

Visibility. Photos shared within an event become visible to all participants of that event after the reveal time. Photos are visible immediately upon sharing within the relevant event context and are not subject to host pre-approval. You are responsible for the content you share.

Prohibited Content. You agree not to upload, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or pornographic; that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors in any way; that harasses, threatens, or promotes violence or hatred; that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others; or that contains malware or attempts to disrupt the Service. You also agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose.

Enforcement. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, remove, or restrict access to any User Content that violates these Terms, and to suspend or terminate accounts that do so.

Reporting Objectionable Content. To report content that you believe violates these Terms, email support@camvi.app with a description of the issue. We review reports within 24 hours and will take appropriate action, including content removal and account suspension where warranted. Event hosts can also remove any photo within their own event at any time.

6. Data Retention

Photos are retained for 60 days after an event ends, after which they are deleted. There is currently no option to extend this period. Please save any photos you wish to keep before the retention period ends.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the "Camvi" name and logo, is owned by Camvi and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that photos will be preserved beyond the stated retention period.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Camvi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, photos, or content, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a manner that may cause harm to Camvi or others.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you may have that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.
